Artifact: Edmodo Screenshot
Reflection:
Edmodo allows me to collaborate and communicate with students, parents, peers, and the larger community locally and globally. Edmodo is an educational social network. The website allows me to add classes. The students are given a code to join the group and parents may also join. Teachers are able to join instructional groups and the instructional groups provide teachers with tips or projects that can be used in their classroom.
This artifact indicates my mastery in collaborating and communicating with students, parents, peers, and the larger community locally and globally. Edmodo allows me to communicate with students and parents. Students and parents can ask about assignments or general questions about school. Teachers are able to talk with other teachers through Edmodo and share resources to use during classroom instruction.
This website allows me to communicate with students and parents while away from school. Students can ask questions about homework and receive help before coming to class the following day. To improve the quality of the artifact, I plan to incorporate Edmodo more into my classroom this coming year. I plan to post more assignments and tutorials for students to have access to while at home.
The work that went into creating this artifact impacted the student learning. The student learning was impacted the students and parents being able to communicate with the teacher after school hours. To assess the impact, the students provide feedback to the teacher twice a school year. The feedback will ask the students if Edmodo helps guide their learning.
